1. Introduce yourself to us and your company?
I am Dipak Agarwal, Founder of Onex Solutions. Onex Solutions helps businesses reach their target audience in an economical and most effective manner. We also help businesses to engage their customer in an innovative way. We are thankful to 4000+ Clients for trusting us in the last 8 years.
2. Why did you choose the field of mobile marketing? How did you get introduced to this field?
I was working at Ernst & Young ( E&Y) as a qualified CA but was always passionate about Innovative marketing. In 2012, I learned about Data Marketing from a friend and found it to be a golden opportunity. Hence, I left my job and entered the field of marketing in 2013.
By 2023-25 This industry will be the most important one, as of now, it is still undervalued. It is the most powerful means of communication and promotion.
3. How did you get your first client? What was your first project?
It was really tough to get the first client, but I was determined. I went to SSEI (Sanjay Saraf Sir) who was leading the CA tuition center in Kolkata. I suggested to him to change the way of communication with students by using messaging service.
It took me 2 months to onboard him to this new concept, then we entered and are able to serve them till now. After that, we have been thankful to clients and our whole team whose trust helps us in getting everyday clients by referrals and organic reach.
4. How do you negotiate your deal with each client? What are the essential points that you consider before saying a yes?
As a brand, we believe in service than the price. We have standard pricing and do not offer high discounts. We only onboard a client if he is looking for a reliable vendor and service. Our USP is the quality of our service, else the market is flooded with several service providers.
5. How do you handle stress?
Stress is a part of our life as people expect my team to work on Holi and Diwali days too. However, we love our work and are able to manage to work on 24*7*365 Days.
There is recent law in our Industry – DLT which is making our clients move to a more organized manner. Although yes, it is creating additional work for clients and the team for compliance.
6. What according to you are the most essential skills that anyone interested in your area of work should develop?
We believe in process and transparency and hence we spend on Softwares and CRM like Zoho. Also, I would suggest people to keep their data organized and safe as data is the next Gold.
7. Who do you collaborate with most often? What kind of Vendors?
We collaborate with Advertising Agencies, Digital Marketing Agencies, Marketing Professionals, Website developers, software developers, etc. as they are our B2B channel partners where they can offer our products to their clients and make a good margin. Reliable service is an advantage.
8. Have you turned down a potential client? If yes, why?
We have turned down lots of clients who don’t want to comply with TRAI regulation or Data Privacy and want to compromise on ethics.
9. What would do you differently if you had to begin your career again? What would you focus on once you restart?
I have recently started my journey in HRTech and will implement all learning from the ADtech industry and Onex Solutions. My new baby is GetExtraSalary where I want to build the process first and then scale up.
